GeneAmp™ 10X PCR Buffer II, when diluted 1:10, provides the optimal pH and ionic strength for PCR amplification. GeneAmp™ 10X PCR Buffer II is magnesium ion free. A separate MgCl2 solution is provided. When used together, GeneAmp™ 10X PCR Buffer II and MgCl2 solution offer more versatility in optimizing the magnesium ion concentration to achieve optimal PCR amplification with any specific set of primers and DNA template.
