Description
- Recognizes human GOLM1
- GOLM1 (GP73, GOLPH2) is a resident Golgi Type II membrane protein
- Predominantly expressed in epithelial cells of many human tissues
- Traffics through endosomes and secreted into circulation
- Expression is upregulated in tumors and could be promising serum marker for hepatocellular carcinoma
Process:
- Antibody specific for GOLM1 pre-coated onto microwells
- GOLM1 protein in samples captured by the coated antibody after incubation
- After extensive washing, another antibody specific for GOLM1 is added to detect captured GOLM1 protein
- For signal development, HRP-conjugated antibody is added, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent
- Solution containing sulfuric acid used to stop color development and color intensity
- Proportional to quantity of bound protein, measurable at 450 nm with correction wavelength set at 630 nm
