Description
OPTIZYME™ T4 DNA Ligase catalyzes the formation of phosphodiester bonds between juxtaposed 5'-phosphate and 3'-hydroxyl termini in duplex DNA or RNA.
Applications and Features:
- OPTIZYME™ T4 DNA Ligase is used to clone restriction enzyme generated DNA fragments
- Fast sticky end ligation (10min at room temperature)
- Cloning PCR products
- Ligation of double-stranded oligonucleotide linkers or adaptors to DNA
- Site-directed mutagenesis
- Amplified fragment length polymorphism
- Ligase-mediated RNA detection
- Nick repair in duplex DNA, RNA or DNA/RNA hybrids
- Active in buffers for OPTIZYME restriction enzymes
Supplied with:
- 10X OPTIZYME T4 DNA Ligase Buffer : 400mM Tris-HCl, 100mM MgCl2, 100mM DTT, 5mM ATP (pH7.8 at 25°C)
- 50% OPTIZYME PEG 4000 Solution: 50% (w/v) polyethylene glycol
Quality control:
- Endo-, exodeoxyribonuclease, phosphatase and ribonuclease-free
- Functionally tested for ligation of cohesive and blunt end DNA fragments
